A late Victorian gilt metal mounted ebonised quarter striking bracket clock, the four-pillar twin fusee movement with anchor escapement and quarter strike on two gongs, the 6.5 inch brass break-arch Roman numerral dial with applied silvered retailer's plaque 'Oetzmann & Co, Hampstead Rd, London' to the matted centre, within silvered chapter ring with fleur de lys half-hour markers and Arabic minutes, with female mask and scroll spandrel applied angles and Strike/Silent dial between foliate mounts to arch, the break-arch case with foliate finials over gilt caryatid applied angles and pierced scroll cast gilt arch-top side frets, on foliate cast bracket feet, 44cm high.
A French Louis XV style gilt metal mounted marquetry etagere, late 19th century, the serpentine shaped mahogany and kingwood floral spray decorated top with cast griffin supports, with larger conforming undertier beneath, on cabriole supports with foliate cast mounts to knees and conforming sabots, 89cm high, 86cm x 54cm.
An 18th century Japanese lacquered metal plaque depicting King Henry VI of England, in dull and burnished takamakie, the reverse with the subject's dates, 12cm. high, a/f. *Commissioned by the head of the Dutch trading mission at Deshima, Baron Reede, in 1788. The portraits of European monarchs were probably copied from engravings in L'Europe illustre, compiled by Dreus du Radier and published in Paris, 1755-65.
