A Hukin & Heath plated metal and oak salad bowl, the design attributed to Christopher Dresser, of drum shape with plated banding around the neck and base and having oak rod handles, total width 33.5cm having original white glazed earthenware liner and oak handled servers, the mounts marked 'H&H' and numbered '2447'. ** The form this takes is akin to the top half of the well-known tureens by Dresser and the handle ends of these servers are identical to the soup ladles which are often seen.

An 18th century Japanese lacquered metal plaque depicting King Henry VI of England, in dull and burnished takamakie, the reverse with the subject's dates, 12cm. high, a/f. *Commissioned by the head of the Dutch trading mission at Deshima, Baron Reede, in 1788. The portraits of European monarchs were probably copied from engravings in L'Europe illustre, compiled by Dreus du Radier and published in Paris, 1755-65.
