A Turkish sword Yataghan dated AH 1247 (=AD 1831), blade 22" with gold and silver damascened dated inscription. Gilt ferrule and gripstrap with applied fluted corals, 2 piece walrus ivory grips. In its silver coloured metal scabbard embossed with foliage, stylised serpent chape, top with pierced filigree decoration. Good Condition (working life repair to scabbard) (Please see lot 92 for image)
