A Dutch Silver Scent-Bottle, With Dutch Control Mark For Small Articles, With English Import Marks for London, 1891, realistically modelled as a lute, overall decorated with putto in landscapes, the top of the pegbox hinged to reveal the scent bottle within, 11cm long, 1oz 11dwt, 48gr. Marked on fret with Dutch small articles mark and further marked three times with tax mark for exports. The hinged cover with part English import marks. There are some overall surface scratching and wear, consistent with age and use.
A Late 19th/Early 20th Century French Musical Automaton, as a lady with composition head, painted features, her blonde mohair wig fashioned in a coil with feather trimmed headdress, wearing a cream net and silk gown with purple velvet cloak, seated with crossed legs, on a red velvet chaise longue and playing a lute, her head and hands moving with the key wind musical movement set to the base, with key and on/off lever, 45cm.
