The crest is that of John Middleton, a Merchant of Glasgow in 1864.

A French silver coffee pot by Bointaburet of Paris, 1st. standard, circa 1900, of fluted baluster form in the Regence manner, the fluted spout applied with laurel swag, acanthus-carved turned wood handle at right-angle to spout with socket teminating in a flower-head, reversed and interlaced initials to front, 21 cm. high. wt. 599 gm.Some small shallow dings here and there on sides but overall good condition, wood handle has no damage.
