A gent's steel cased Omega Constellation automatic chronometer wristwatch, having singed champagne dial, baton markers, screw-down back, case dia.34mm, on probably original leather bracelet with Omega steel clasp.Hour hand has been bent at some stage and then straightened.Seconds hand is missing.Dial has some general surface wear and minor pitting.
Rolex - Very rare stainless steel manual wind bracelet watch with Kew 'A' Certification. The Oyster Speedking ref: 5056, with a signed off-white dial having Arabic numerals, black outer minute track and subsidiary seconds dial, blued steel baton hands and inscribed 'Kew 'A' Certificate' - The screw down crown signed 'Rolex Oyster', the screw-down case back stamped '5056', case number 628XXX. The signed 18 jewel bi-coloured movement number 4255, inscribed 'Kew xAx Tested', 'Time with screws on balance', the freesprung Breguet type balance with timing screws, 30mm diameter, together with copy of hand written Register of Watches from The National Physical Laboratory (Teddington). During the 1940's Rolex submitted 145 watch movements to the Royal Observatory at Kew for chronometer testing. These 18 jewel movements had hand-made balance staffs, wheels and cocks, the main plates being coloured rose gold with the balance cock in stainless steel. Regulation was achieved by two screws with three spare screw holes each side for compensation. All these watches were adjusted in Geneva and overseen by the Rolex master timer Jean Matile. This movement no: 4255 passed certification on 20 January 1949. There is no known history to this watch and it is being sold for a local Cancer Charity without any vendor's commission. Movement currently functions, dial has an even patina as one would expect for a 1940's dial, hands are good and original, wear to case is likewise and unpolished, crown does pull out and pushes back however it does no-longer screw-down tight, movement is clean, riveted and spring Rolex bracelet with wear as expected and date coded 4/72 - **General condition consistent with age

A vintage 1970 Omega Electronic f300Hz Seamaster Chronometer 198.0008 stainless steel wristwatch with signed silver dial, hands and hour batons in silver and black inset with lume, continuous sweeping red center seconds hand and date aperture at 3 'clock, the thick high domed circular case having screw back bearing Seamaster emblem, signed and referenced to inside and powered by a 12 jewel calibre 1250 (ETA-ESA 9162) quartz movement licenced by Bulova with electronically controlled tuning fork, currently fitted with Oyster style stainless steel bracelet with signed and referenced hidden fold clasp, case diameter 40mm.Condition: currently in good working order although not sold with any guarantees, some minor niggles and surface wear to case and glass, dial clean no signs of damage, some play in bracelet, clasp in good order, crown operates quickset date fine, all appears good internally.
A 1962 Omega Constellation Automatic Chronometer wristwatch 14902-62 with signed champagne dial, gold tone Dauphine hands and hour batons with black inset and date aperture at 3 o'clock, stainless steel screw back case bearing Constellation emblem and signed and referenced to inside, powered by a 24 jewel caliber 561 automatic movement, case diameter 33mm, no box or papers.Condition: currently in working order although not sold with any guarantees, slight spot of discolouration to dial near date window, black inset missing on hour batons 10, 11 & 1, case has some minor surface scratches and general wear with age throughout, movement also showing some signs of wear with some dirt and slight oxidisation, although currently running would require a service, signed crown operating fine, no quickset date feature on the caliber 561, no strap fitted currently, no box or any papers. Update - condition report was originall carried out whilst the back was off and movement was ticking away for approx 30mins with no faults. With case closed the watch currently does not run. Will require a service as previously mentioned.
Haley, Wigmore St., London, a small ebonised and brass inlaid mantel clock: the eight-day duration, double-fusee, five-pillar movement striking the hours on a bell with pull repeat, the shaped backplate engraved with the maker's name Haley, London and with border engraving repeated to the pendulum bob, the front plate stamped Holmden, London 206 for the movement maker John George Holmden, the five-inch convex white enamelled dial having black Roman hour numerals and signed Haley, Wigmore St., London and with gilded brass spade hands, the small ebonised case having a shaped top and surmounted by a pediment with a cast-brass finial on a dentil block, with brass inlaid decoration, brass frets to the sides, cast handles and standing on ball feet, height 39cm inc. finial. * Biography. Charles Haley was a renowned clock, chronometer and regulator maker recorded at 7, Wigmore Street, Cavendish Square, London having been apprenticed in 1762 and working alongside the chronometer maker Brockbank. He obtained his freedom from the Clockmakers' Company in 1781. In 1793 he was appointed to the select committee of the House of Commons reporting on the chronometers of Thomas Mudge. In circa 1832 the business was taken over by the maker and retailer James Grohé and again some thirty years later by the chronometer makers John Pennington and Herman Typke*Note John Holmden was a fine maker being free of the Clockmakers' Company in 1788 and working until circa 1844. He supplied movements to a number of well-known London clockmakers including the illustrious Benjamin Louis Vulliamy for whom Holmden, also a fine chronometer maker, was the main maker,

An English eight-day gilt-brass exhibition Chronometer Clock, by Thomas Mercer, the movement within gilt-brass movement plates, chain fusee and spring barrel, the partially skeletonised silvered Roman chapter ring signed Thomas Mercer Makers to the Admiralty since 1858 St. Albans England, with eccentric subsidiary dials for seconds and up-and-down (0 to 8), blued steel hands, the horizontal movement mounted within a cylindrical perspex glass revolving case on a gilt rectangular plinth, overall 6½in (16.5cm) high x 11¾in (30cm) long. Clock does not run and when rotated the balance wheel does not move.

AN OMEGA MEGAQUARTZ MARINE CHRONOMETER BRACELET WATCH. Rectangular black dial with inset central section signed Constellation Megaquartz f2.4Mhz, baton indexes, white hands, date aperture at 6 o'clock position, gilt bezel surround to case which measures 44 x 33mm, fitted with hinged link bracelet with central clasp, manufactured circa 1973, 2 spare links, an original Omega box of an earlier date is included.A highly collectable watch with an interesting history. First marketed by Omega in the 1970's this model was the first wristwatch ever to be certified as a Marine Chronometer due to its highly accurate caliber 1511 movement. Approximately 1000 units were made and each watch features a 14ct gold bezel and case plaque featuring the original movement serial number. These watches were tested for 63 days by the Besancon Institute and were presented with certificates showing their accuracy which was usually in the region of 12 seconds per year. Although the movement of this example is not currently functioning, the average battery life is approximately 6 months and therefore it is likely that a new battery is required.
