1950s gentlemen's Rolex gold Oyster Perpetual Chronometer wristwatch, model no. 6084, the circular dial with applied gold Arabic numerals, gold hands and blued-steel centre seconds, in gold (9ct) gold Oyster case with Rolex Super Oyster screw-down crown, on Rolex gold (14ct) Oyster bracelet. Model no. 6084. Serial no. indistinct, probably 948037 or 918037, case 34mm diameter CONDITION REPORT Very good condition and original unrestored condition. The watch is currently running although we cannot guarantee the accuracy of its timekeeping. Dial is clean, one very faint scratch between the 1 and 2 o'clock position and one tiny pin head size scratch near the centre of the dial. Plastic glass is cracked. the watch runs, winds smoothly, no clicking or noises and adjusts correctly. Case - in very good condition, no obvious damage or repairs. the milled edge to the back of the case is in good condition, wear commensurate with age. The back has a pin head size dent, no presentation inscriptions. Bracelet is in very good condition, wear commensurate with age, clasp works well. no box or papers.

There is no box or papers but the watch has been to Upchurch of Colchester who are Rolex agents and have sent the watch to Rolex who have supplied an estimate for: full service, bracelet repair, new plain champagne dial, new yellow gold fluted bezel, new glass and new crown. this work was not carried out. The dial is as stated - non Rolex and 'after market' pavé set with diamnds, the bezel and glass are also non-Rolex components The watch is currently working although we cannot guarantee the accuracy of it's timekeeping. We believe it to work well

Key not numbered but appears original. Brass caps to case appear re-lacquered. Some age / handling wear to case, but basically good. Glass good. Dial with minor tarnishing to edges, otherwise good. Gimble good with some light tarnishing to top edge. Clock movement winds well but not running. We cannot remove the back.
