TWO CAUGHLEY LEAF-SHAPED PICKLE DISHES. transfer printed in underglaze blue with the Fisherman pattern, the underside moulded with veins, one crisply so, 16 & 16.5cm l, printed S and painted x, or unmarked, c1785. ++ Both in excellent condition with, on one dish the odd pinhead sized nick on the edge of the rim, only noticeable on close examination. No restoration and good examples of the largest size. Long in the ownership of the present local private family
