Small chip to the cover's rim and a further smaller chip to the underside of the cover. Scratches and glaze pitting to the exterior of the teapot.

Gilt and blue tea bowl and saucer - hairline to tea bowl, minor gilt wear to the lobed rim. Saucer with chips to the foot rim. Slop bowl - gilding to rim 90% rubbed. Temple teacup with star crack to foot and crack to interior. No other damages or repairs.

A very rare Caughley pot pourri basket and cover, circa 1790-95Oval with tapering sides crisply moulded with a fine basketweave pattern, applied with an overhead handle, the cover pierced with seventeen round holes, printed in bright blue with various floral sprays and scattered sprigs including versions of 'Three Flowers' and 'Sliced Apple', cellular borders around the rims, 20.5cm long (2)Footnotes:This is a later Caughley production made using a hybrid hard paste body and was clearly beset with manufacturing problems. An important Caughley centrepiece and stand from the Marquess of Donegal service, circa 1793, the centre decorated with a crowned D within a yellow, blue, gilt and pink banded rim, the broad foliate border reserved with panels of classical ladies painted en grisaille, one panel painted with the family crest, the dish marked CHAMBERLAIN, 38cm wide Provenance: Geoffrey Godden Literature: Geoffrey Godden, Chamberlain Worcester Porcelain, Barrie & Jenkins, 1982, ill. P.49, pl. 23 for a dessert dish, p. 50, pl. 24 for other pieces from the service including the present lot The invoice for this service is dated the 18 September 1793. It is a harlequin set as borders are of different designs, the centre dishes cost £8 8 shillings. The dish itself has slight rubbing to the gilding and a small restored chip to the rim. The stand has a foot missing and there is a crack to the side. Small amount of discolouration to a part of the base.
