A Caughley tea service, circa 1790, comprising: a teapot, cover and stand, nine tea bowls, nine teacups, nine saucers, a slop bowl and stand, a sugar basin and cover, a milk jug, and a tea leaf compendium, each decorated with a gilt and cobalt blue floral and foliate design, gilt banding throughout (please see P.Miller and M. Berthaud 'An Anthology of British Teapots' (Micawber publications, 1985) plate 692 for a similar teapot example) (35)CONDITION REPORT: All pieces show wear commensurate with age and use, including surface scratches, rubbing to gilt highlights, etc. One piece shows restoration to the finial (please see photo). No other obvious signs of damage nor restoration.

Circa 1785, printed with The Man on The Bridge pattern, with printed lion rampant mark, traditionally ascribed to New Hall, together with a Worcester Fisherman pattern tea bowl, with disguised numerals mark, and a Caughley coffee cup (3).
An 18th century Worcester blue & white Two Peony Rock Bird pattern shell shaped pickle dish, 8 by 7.5cms; together with a Caughley blue & white strainer, 8cms diameter (2). Condition Report The shell shaped dish has a small chip to the underside of the rim and one very small chip to the rim. Strainer has 3 small chips to foot rim.
A late 18th century circa 1790 believed Caughley porcelain teacup and saucer. The teacup and saucer decorated in cobalt and gilt stripes, the saucer with cobalt and gilt floral design. Fluted edge and rim. Gilt 42 mark to underside of teacup. Tea cup measures approx. 7cm tall, saucer 14cm in diameter.

(16) Yellow - hairline crack to one saucer, gilding wear and minor dots of paint loss. Pink with saucer - crazing, hairline crack to cup through an image, gilding wear. Little bowls with smooth finish - Black & white - firing marks/stains within, and to base, plus crack to base. Bowl with glaze loss to rim and hairline crack. Other surface or firing imperfections. Pink flower - hairline crack. The other appears fine. Other pink flower - minor area of chips to top rim, and area of glaze loss to base. Blue - chip to base Pink flower bowls/saucer x3 - one with crack to base and hairline, the other with chip to rim, the other appears fine. Crinkled porcelain - Bowl with gilding loss to rim, marks. Cup with handle - hairline crack Many with crazing if not all. See photos.
