A group of daywear and accessories, 1930s-40s, approx 18 ensembles, including Women's Land Army exercise outfit, labelled R.E.H & Co. Ltd Manchester; a CC41 brown needlecord jacket, labelled; a farmer's smock; Hebe Sports striped suit, labelled; six pairs of shoes, assorted CC41 accessories; two clothing ration books 1947-8; and others, various sizes (qty) CONDITION REPORT: · Clothing is good condition overall, items are wearable and mostly quite fresh in appearance, with occasional imperfections commensurate with age. · Brown/checked shorts - soiling to inner crotch · Brown Land Army exercise shorts - hole to left side · Needlecord coat - large hole in lining, exterior is good · 'Philpots' tweed jacket - lining shredded at underarms, moth hole to lower front approx. 2x1cm · Hebe Sports suit - perspiration stains at underarms to lining, not visible to exterior. Skirt has scattering of darned moth holes near waistband otherwise good. · Dress with beaded bows - faded/discoloured across shoulders · Brown 'Peter Robinson' dress - discolouration in several places · Unlabelled brown wool jacket - brown stains to lining, exterior good · Costmoor green tweed jacket - tears to lining, brown discolouration in places, couple of moth holes, fraying at cuffs · Accessories all show signs of use and wear. Green beret has bleach marks to top. Ration books are used.

§ Jo Brocklehurst (British, 1935-2006) Nude in Pink and Orange signed and dated lower left "Brocklehurst 1981" pastel 60 x 84cm (23 x 33in) Provenance: The Francis Kyle Gallery, 9 Maddox Street, London, W1. Other Notes: A prolific and daring artist, best known for her drawings of punks in Camden, Jo Brocklehurst started her career at Central St. Martin's, where she later became a teacher. Always wearing a black beret and never revealing her age, the artist has been described as gentle and ladylike. Her work was exhibited at Francis Kyle Gallery, Mayfair, as well as in New York, Amsterdam, Poland and Germany and several of her punk paintings from the 1980s are now in the collection of the V&A. Condition is fine.

Rare Early Special Air Service (S.A.S) Beret, of faded beige / grey cloth with original embroidered winged dagger beret badge to the centre. Beret edged with a ribbed cloth, lining to the interior has been removed, this is common practice with SAS berets as troops removed the lining for comfort due to heat. Good spun pattern to the top of the beret, typical of WW2 examples. Very good used example of a Special Forces beret.

Consisting of pairs of shoulder titles, SAS parachute jump wing, Parachute qualified jump wing, kings crown Parachute regiment cap badge and collars, SAS cloth beret badge, brass winged dagger SAS cap badge and enamel SAS lapel badge. APOCALYPSE NOW (1979) - Colonel Kurtz (Marlon Brando) Magazine Cover, Script Pages and Shooting Schedule A Time magazine cover featuring an image of Colonel Kurtz (Marlon Brando) from Francis Ford Coppola’s Oscar®-winning Vietnam War epic Apocalypse Now. The cover was made for the production, but ultimately not seen on screen, however the photograph featured on the cover was used for the scene in which Captain Willard (Martin Sheen) is briefed about his mission to assassinate Kurtz, and in a magazine included in Willard’s intelligence packet. The cover is dated 19 July 1968. The piece shows Kurtzin his combat fatigues and Special Forces beret, and is printed on semi-gloss paper. It is accompanied by two dialogue pages detailing the interrogation of Willard by Kurtz, featuring handwritten dialogue additions by Coppola, and a shooting schedule for the remaining shoot days featuring Marlon Brando. The cover remains in very good condition, with stains and creases to the production paperwork. Cover dimensions: 28 cm x 21 cm (11" x 8 ¼") VAT Status - Margin
Arnhem & Airborne interest, a selection of items, some named to Major David Allsop who was second in command 1st Airborne Recce Sqn at Arnhem, a cigarette case, named inside & dated 1944, this with Para badge to front, a Pegasus patch and Parachute 3 s/title cut from uniform, ribbon bar, 39-45 & F&G group of four, a Red Beret, this with named label, possibly slightly later, a cigarette ashtray (named). He managed to evade capture at Arnhem. He was also awarded the Dutch Bronze Lion with citation but this not with the grouping. Born 4.8.1917 Died 9.9.1987. mostly GVF
A Garibaldi-soldier jacket, Gilet and beret dating: third quarter of the 19th Century provenance: Italy Red cloth jacket with dark-brown, velvet neck and sleeves, a trumpet under crown at the neck, brass buttons with trumpet; white linen and green silk lining at the inside; waistcoat with red breast and brass buttons. Another blue cloth waistcoat featuring the same buttons. Red cloth hat with grades and coat of arms, leather brim. Scarce. dimensions: height varie cm.
