WW2 1944 Royal Tank Regiment Grouping, consisting of heavy canvas tank suit with two full zips to the front. Breast pockets and side pockets closed with brass press stud fasteners. Removable sergeant rank chevrons to the arm. M Belmont & Co Ltd size label to the interior cuff with clear 1944 date. Suit is complete with its fixed waist belt. Accompanying the suit is a black WW2 style RTR beret with cap badge, tank commanders headphone set, tank commanders hand held microphone, webbing map case, officers binoculars, webbing belt with ammunition pouches and Webley pistol holster, pair of goggles and winter weather / shell carrying gloves. All items show wear and use.

Army Air Corps WW2 Officer's 1942 Birmingham hallmarked silver beret badge. A good die-cast example by JRG&S (JR Gaunt & Sons) hallmarked 1942 (the year of the unit's creation) to reverse. Crowned laurel wreath; voided centre bearing eagle atop pierced "AAC" scroll, its wings extending over and beyond the wreath. Three stout loops to reverse. VGC
WW2 SOE Force 133 Attributed Cap Badge & Original Ephemera. A scarce locally made cast brass cap badge in the form of the 50/52 Middle East Commando Knife, larger than usual with soldered loopss ... accompanied by two original postcard photographs, one wearing battledress uniform, with a dagger badge to the beret and to the breast of his battle dress blouse SOE parachute qualification wings ... Typed Confidential Report on Corporal J.B. Elliott service with Force 133, signed by Brigadier Maclean CO Force 133 ... First two typed pages of a biography Corporal Elliot began to write. Attributed to "Agent" Corporal James B Elliot RASC. The accompanying paperwork includes a typed confidential file report. signed by Brigadier Maclean Commander Force 133 for operations in the Balkans and North Italy. It confirms that Elliot was interviewed and excepted on the 8th March 1943. After sabotage and Parachute training he was ready for field duties. It quotes "Whilst in the field he performed his duties brilliantly" He assisted in the escape of 75 British & US POWs from the concentration camp at Ljubljana. After being withdrawn for a rest he was again in the field this time around the Hvar islands, detailed to destroy and sink a German Armed Sloop T17. Carrying plastic explosive in a rucksack with an Officer he climbed aboard, setting the charges they were about to escape when they were spotted by a guard. Elliot held off the German crew with MKIV grenades as the Officer finished the job, both men escaped. For this the Officer was put forward for the DSO and Elliot the MM. He then took part in Operation "Snood" this was mainly supplying food to the partisans. His next task was Operation Cuckhold in itsria. This operation was to help US shot down aircrew get to the coast and evacuation, operating as a pair, Elliott and his companion were captured by the Germans and subjected to eight days of interrogation and torture at Dubrovnik. The German HQ was attacked by Partisans and Elliot was released, his companion had been killed. Elliot returned to Force 133 base camp and was recommended due to stress and his nevus to be sent back to UK. The Brigadier wrote "I am proud to have had Cpl James Elliott to serve with me in this operation".

D. B. McDiarmid who served in the Royal Navy from 1916 until 1945 & on HMS Hood between 1923 & 1925 during the World Cruise.Included are his cap & beret badges, WWII medals; Atlantic Star, Africa Star, Pacific Star, 1939-45 Star & War Medal (apparently unworn), Certificate of Service, Qualifications in Stoker Ratings Record, other documents & a photograph of the recipient in uniform.Also included is the album of photographs recording the ships World Cruise & a copy of the illustrated book on the Cruise 'The Empire Cruise' by V.
