Including; his original uniform beret (green), along with his Royal Marine ' RM ' shoulder badges, his William Rodgers made commando knife in leather scabbard, a photograph of Kirby, his post-war Certificate Of Service (noting him as Lance Corporal 2389494), his Fairbairn Sykes style commando dagger, a wealth of personal photographs - including some believed to depict the Chettuva beach assault, an HMS Kenya Christmas Day menu (1945), and other items. A rare and important collection of personal Commando effects.  Kirby joined the Royal Marines in 1943 and served aboard HMS Kenya and took part in the Chetuva landing beach assault
