JIMI HENDRIX - The Patricia "Trixie" Sullivan Collection: Axis: Bold as Love Side "B" Stereo Mix Reel-to-Reel Tape - A stereo mix tape of side "B" of the Jimi Hendrix Experience's second studio album Axis: Bold as Love. The album was recorded at Olympic Studios and Mayfair Studios in London, and Houston Studios in LA, during the spring and summer of 1967. This lot comes from the collection of Patricia "Trixie" Sullivan, personal assistant to Mike Jeffery between 1966 and 1973. The tape features six songs: "You've Got Me Floating", "Castles Made of Sand", "She's So Fine", "One Rainy Wish", "Little Miss Lover" and "Bold as Love". It is accompanied by its original Scotch box, on which the song titles are handwritten in black. The box is dated "20.11.67", labelled "Copy Tape", "Polydor" and "Jimi Hendrix", and holds the original Scotch tape reel. The tape is now housed on a newer reel. The box exhibits notable wear due to its age. JIMI HENDRIX - The Patricia "Trixie" Sullivan Collection: Axis: Bold as Love Side "A" Stereo Mix Reel-to-Reel Tape - A tape featuring stereo mixes of seven tracks from the Jimi Hendrix Experience's second album, Axis: Bold as Love. This lot comes from the collection of Patricia "Trixie" Sullivan, personal assistant to Mike Jeffery between 1966 and 1973. The tape features all the A-side songs on the album, and the mixes are likely first or second-generation copies. The songs are: "EXP", "Up From the Skies", "Spanish Castle Magic", "Wait Until Tomorrow", "Ain't No Telling", "Little Wing", and "If 6 Was 9". The 0.75 cm width tape is housed on a newer plastic tape reel and is numbered "45". It comes presented in a new box for preservation's sake. Also in the lot is the original Scotch-branded metal reel and its original box. A Pye Records Ltd sheet featuring handwritten annotations, including the artist's name and a song list, is taped to the box. The original box exhibits signs of wear and staining, and the tape has become discoloured. There is scuffing on the Scotch-branded reel and signs of light wear to the tape.
