We received a call that a cat answering our description had been found and would we come to reclaim him. Peter and I were so happy for this news and we agreed that Peter should go reclaim Spike, as the cat was called. Peter returned carrying a hold-all with some distinct Meowing going on. Spike was a very handsome tabby so you can imagine my surprise when a very pregnant, hissing black cat emerged. Peter just shrugged and said he couldn’t just leave her. Kathy, as we called her was never the most bonnie, nor the most affectionate cat. We went from one cat family to a seven cat family, but every one of the kittens was gorgeous. Peter did the drawings of Kathy to entertain Lucy, our daughter, and I. He captured her cheesed off expression quite perfectly. These have been in my possession exclusively since that time. Terry Howson'
