A rare horseman's knife combined with percussion pistol dating: mid-19th Century provenance: Europe Straight, single -and false-edged, folding blade, marked "VAGNETTI" on the tang; iron body with horn grip scales held by screws. Provided with a screwdriver on the back, a screw-shaped tip for wood and a long, beak-shaped tool to clean the horse hoofs. At the back of the grip the cylindrical, 10 mm cal. barrel, with vent, hammer with rear cocking lever, cylindrical, decorated with a small pierce of checkered amber. In order to use the gun it is necessary to extract the cleaning tool, as it works as the grip, and the tip that works as the trigger. A rare Mangeot percussion revolver, Fourth Type dating: third quarter of the 19th Century provenance: Belgium Octagonal, rifled, 10 mm cal. barrel with foresight and fixed rear-sight, marked "H. MANGEOT ARQ.B. DE LA COUR A BRUXELLES" on the back; smooth, six-shot cylinder with a frame of racemes at the centre, stamps of Liège test bench; typical, lateral hammer, on the right side of the weapon, loading lever along the barrel. Iron frame engraved with racemes; checkered, wooden grip with engraved butt and primer case. Double action mechanic. Serial number "1xxx". Remains of antique finishing. Henri Mangeot (1807? - 1877) was inventor and manufacturer of arms, he was Belgian with French origins, and used to be a famous gunsmith at the Court of Brussels, he was member of science academies, author of books about fire arms, and winners of several awards. dimensions: length 30,5 cm.
A beautiful roman style flintlock gun by Matassi dating: third quarter of the 18th Century provenance: Tuscany Smooth, two-stage, 16 mm cal. barrel, the first part octagonal with marks of Nicolas Bis in gold between lilies, under cross, the second round with swallow-tailed gold foresight decorated with lilies, rings and acanthus leaves at the girdle; roman style flintlock with beautiful chiselling, decorated with a large mask at the end, another mask at the base of the hammer, two smaller one on the screw of the hammer and under the pan, the remaining surface decorated with floral engravings, the inside signed "Il Matassa da Anghiari"; briarwood half stock with the head of a warrior in front of the trigger guard, mask behind the trigger guard and floral motifs; elegant, brass mounts engraved with floral motifs; horn-tipped wooden ramrod. Matassi gunsmith's dynasty worked in Anghieri (Arezzo) from the first half of the 18th Century until 1850 circa. Barbiroli "Repertorio storico degli archibugiari italiani dal XIV al XX secolo", page 357. The stamps of Nicolas Bis were the most falsified since 18th Century. Probably the barrel presented above features marks of this kind, however its quality seems pair to the one by the famous, Spanish gunsmith of Madrid died in 1726. dimensions: length 142 cm.
A beautiful gun by Steckel converted to percussion dating: second quarter of the 18th Century provenance: Austria Smooth, two-stage, 15 mm cal. barrel, octagonal at the first part with marks in gold by Johann Steckel between floral motifs, decorations at the girdle and the nozzle, silver foresight, remains of the original finishing. Interesting lock converted to percussion, signed "IO. STECKEL IN NEUSTADT", with inside hammer, decorated with the effigy of hunters wearing clothes in the style of early 18th Century, with hounds, wolf and hares. Elegant, briarwood half stock, grooved butt; silver mounts, finely engraved with the effigy of a man wearing a mask, another figure with sword and lance, a mask and floral motifs, partially pierced. One screw and ramrod missing. For Johann Steckel see "Der Neue Stöckel", Vol. II, page 1215. He also worked by the famous Castello Grafenegg. dimensions: length 141.5 cm.
A rare miquelet flintlock dating: third quarter of the 18th Century provenance: Naples Engraved lock with deep mark, the hammer with fine engraved and chiselled decorations, partially pierced with floral motifs, the batterie decorated en suite. A pin-fire gun-stick dating: third quarter of the 19th Century provenance: Europe Cylindrical, iron frame engraved with floral motifs, with finishing, with a perpendicular slot for the grip, detachable bolt with foldaway trigger and rear hammer with finishing (slight defects at the mechanic); horn grip worked with rings and provided with a large curved, ivory pommel (slight defects); cylindrical barrel with bamboo covering, brass ring-nut at the nozzle, cal. 11 mm, complete with detachable, white metallic foot. dimensions: length totale 86,3 cm.

Single Shot Deringer dating: third quarter of the 19th Century provenance: USA Faceted, rifled, 4" barrel, keeping 50% of the antique finishing, white metallic foresight, marked "CONNTECTICUT ARMS & MANF'G Co. NAUBUC CONN", cal. 44 rimfire. Frame with swivelling bolt on the side, with 1864 patent; spur trigger and rear hammer. Grip with checkered, brown grip scales. Serial number "1xx". dimensions: length 20 cm.
A rare miquelet flintlock dating: 18th Century provenance: Naples Lock with the crowned stamp "FR DI NAP", featuring fine, floral engravings, the borders oblique at the centre; the hammer decorated en suite, the screws of the hammer and the batterie both covered with medallions featuring a bust on gilt ground, beautiful batterie with high-relieved mask, the central segment of the face on the mask, in correspondence with the nose and the mouth, can be moved through a small spring; at the inside a long signature (not entirely clear) "A NI GA PACI f..". dimensions: length 14.8 cm.

An elegant wheel-lock tschinke dating: third quarter of the 17th Century provenance: Baltic Octagonal, rifled, 10 mm cal. barrel, with slightly bell-mouthed nozzle, iron rear-sight and brass foresight, featuring remains of floral engravings on both edges. Elegant lock with external wheel held by a curved bar strengthened externally by a brass plaque engraved with spirals; plate engraved with racemes and frames, more engravings on the fore plaques of the hammer, the springs chiselled with small spirals and dashes; the rear spring partially covered by a brass plaque engraved en suite; pan cover with releasing button. Slim, wooden full stock (two small restorations near the tang and another in the lower part); the area under the barrel decorated with brass plaques engraved with spirals and racemes alternated with mother of pearl inlays of various shapes (hearts, lozenges, circles, etc.). Butt with cheek-piece featuring a mother of pearl disc engraved with racemes and mask, on the other side too are engraved plaques of mother of pearl; wooden patchbox, externally covered with brass decorated en suite with the lock; butt bordered with brass, engraved with spirals ans racemes. Iron trigger guard, wooden ramrod. dimensions: length 116,5 cm.
A beautiful wheel-lock tschinke with powder-flask dating: mid-17th Century provenance: Teschen Octagonal, rifled, 8 mm cal. barrel, with slightly bell-mouthed nozzle, engraved with floral motifs at the edges and the centre, provided with fore -and rear-sight; typical, angled lock engraved en suite with the barrel, the hammer engraved with bird and floral motifs, with snap pan cover. Elegant and thin, wooden full stock enriched with bone and mother of pearl inlays, decorated with the effigy of an angel with trumpet, wild animals and mythical animals, everything surrounded by floral decorations, ornamental bands and hops. Iron patchbox and anatonic trigger guard. Wooden ramrod wth iron cartridge extractor. Together with its powder-flak of fruit wood of octagonal section, with round base, enriched with bone and mother of pearl inlays, decorated with the effigy of wild animals and mythical animals, everything surrounded by floral decorations, ornamental bands and hops. The fuse on a small, lateral, bone plaque engraved with hound, the stopper of dark horn, iron suspension ring. On the side a small, leather cartridge case. dimensions: length 113.5 cm.

Croce dating: second quarter of the 19th Century provenance: Italy Smooth, two-stage, octagonal and round, 18 mm cal. barrel with rings at the girdle; roman lock converted to percussion, with hammer held by a thick, grooved plaque, the ending part engraved with racemes and signed "G. B. Croce"; wooden half stock, butth with double fuller (small parts missing), brass mounts engraved with spirals and foliage. Brass-tipped wooden ramrod. A percussion carbine by Gastinne Renette with Napoleon III monogram dating: third quarter of the 19th Century provenance: France Round, rifled, 11 mm cal. barrel with octagonal breech, featuring remains of the signature "F... par Gastinne Renette Arq. de l' Empereur a Paris", with foresight and adjustable rear-sight, at the base the crowned monogram "N", both elements gilt and relieved.
