EVERTON 1889 Everton matchcard v Notts Rangers, 4/5/1889, definitely an original matchcard and not a replica, professionally repaired along folds where previously it had split, includes fixture list and scores for the season, the first ever Football League season and Everton were a founder member of the Football League. This game was an end of season friendly, Everton playing eight games in 25 days in May having played 12 games in April. Interesting to note that there was a referee and two umpires. This item was not in the David France collection. Excellently restored and now in generally good condition. As described

Eight programmes, homes v QPR, Leyton Orient and Everton, away programmes at Leyton Orient, Shef Utd, Semi v Fulham at Villa and replay at Leicester plus the Final v Tottenham at Wembley. FOOTBALL LEAGUE 1888 Modern collection of 12 metal pin badges of the original 12 clubs who formed the Football League in 1888, badges from Burnley, Wolves, Blackburn, Accrington, Everton, West Brom, Derby, Preston, Aston Villa, Bolton, Stoke and Nottingham Forest, all framed and glazed in a wooden frame with a printed note from Stanley Matthews stating that this is where it all began. Probably issued around 1988 when the centenary was celebrated. Measures circa 10" x 8". Good
