Joe Mercer's Everton FC Football League Division One Championship winner's medal 1938-39,9ct. gold, the obverse inscribed THE FOOTBALL LEAGUE, CHAMPIONS, DIVISION 1, the reverse inscribed EVERTON F.C., 1938-39, J. MERCER, lacking original loop suspension on account of five of Joe Mercer's medals having previously been converted by a jeweller into a linked bracelet Everton won the title with a total of 59 points, finishing four ahead of Wolves.

Joe Mercer's Arsenal FC 1948 F.A. Charity Shield winner's medal,14ct. gold, the obverse inscribed FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION, CHARITY SHIELDInterestingly the gold is date stamped for 1939. This is because the medals had been prepared for the 1939 F.A. Charity Shield which was cancelled on the outbreak of the Second World War. Joe Mercer would have probably played in the 1939 match as he was a member of the Everton 1938-39 Football League Division One Champions who were set to play the F.A. Cup winners Portsmouth. In the end Mercer was awarded the medal nine years later but while playing in the red & white of Arsenal who beat Manchester United 4-3.Exhibited:Arsenal FC Museum (on loan).

Everton FC player's trophy awarded to Jimmy Tansey for the Central League Championship winning season in 1953-54,hallmarked silver, Sheffield, 1953, miniature trophy, presentation inscription, black composition base, 10cm.Jimmy Tansey was born and bred in Liverpool and joined local team Everton as a youth team player in 1948. The left-back made a total of 133 League appearances before transferring to Crewe Alexandra in season 1959-60.

Terry McDermott's goal of the season came in the F.A. Cup semi-final v Everton at Maine Road. Emlyn Hughes interviewed on McDermott's great goal said: "We'd talked about Lawson's tendency to come out a long way and Terry kidded him with that chip. We all thought Terry was going to blast it until he pulled it back and floated it in. That, for me, is the hallmark of an exceptional player."

Gylfi Sigurdsson alternatively Gylfi Thor Sigurdsson; born 8 September 1989) is an Icelandic professional footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder for Premier League club Everton and the Iceland national team. Gylfi began his professional career with Reading in the Championship, and in 2010 was sold to Hoffenheim which was Reading's biggest sale. He was voted Player of the Season for two consecutive seasons - for Reading in 2009-10 and for Hoffenheim in 2010-11. After a season back in English football with Swansea City he joined Tottenham Hotspur for £8. 8 million, and in 2014 moved back to Swansea as part of an exchange for Ben Davies. Gylfi made his senior international debut for Iceland in 2010 and has since earned over 50 caps. 1970s Football Tickets: Wide variety of home clubs with good Midland and Derby content. Some earlier including Derby season ticket stubs from 38/39 onwards and a 67/68 Aston Villa season ticket book. Some great stubs from Derbys 71/72 championship season include home v Liverpool 1/5/72 and 3 Cup matches.
