Two pairs of early-20th century William Morris' 'Birds in Forest' pattern curtains, jacquard embroidered and lined in thick, heavy-weight cotton, and brass curtain hooks. One pair having significant signs of age and use, fading andextensive fraying along one edge, the other pair in better condition. SIZING: Each individual drape measures approximately 155 x 340 cm or 62 x 134 inches.

Two Pairs of Decorative Mustard Ground Woven Curtains and Pelmets, depicting birds and fruit on sinuous branches, lined and interlined, measuring approximately 437cm wide by 290cm long, and 257cm wide by 295cm long, each pair with a decorative pelmet of swagged design with pinch pleats and trimmed with fringing, measuring approximately 444cm wide by 98cm long on the outer edge including the fringing, and 265cm wide by 98cm long on the outer edge including the fringing,and two pairs of tie backs
A pair of patchwork curtains. Black and green silk interspersed with a hexagonal flower design, in various fabrics including jacquard, velvet and silk, with a white cotton lining. Length of each curtain approx 258cm, width approx 124cm.The client informs us that the curtains were originally quilts handsewn, and using Chinese fabric, by the naval officer Henry Taprell Dorling (TAFFRAIL) whilst serving in the Far East.These stunning antique curtains now require a little attention, there are holes forming in various places and areas of fading particularly down the edges.
