A large pair of late 19thc silk curtains, brightly embroidered with a Cockerel and chicks amongst flowering bamboo, birds, flowers and butterflies on a light green silk ground. With a braided border and a silk lining to the reverse, and with hooks for hanging. 267cms by 107cms. *CR The silk has faded back a little over time as you would expect, braiding on one curtain has come loose on one side and needs re attaching. Some marks and stains in places to the front and reverse, and a little dirty in particular on the back - could do with a gentle clean on both sides.

1 Large 20th century copper colored figural button.These plastic electroplated finished buttons with a "D" in a diamond shape on the back for the manufacturer are highly sought after and we have not seen many come at auction in recent times. This example the button is coated in a copper finish and shoes a dancing couple on a stage with curtains and flooring. Nice example. A pair of very large Osbourne & Little cream silk jacquard curtains with cream tasselled edging and goblet pleat top, joined together with a large pelmet to top, with a cream fringed edging, fully lined and with a thermal padded interlining to curtains, pair measures approx 340 x 300cm and attached at centre.Condition Report: The curtains are in a very good unused condition.The measurements are taken across the top of each one and down the length. The curtains are joined across the top and the two swag with fringing to the inside edges of both almost like curtains across a stage.There is some fading to the back from the sun between pleats, no aromas or tears and repairs.

Curtains are approximately 165cm drop and 260 cm wide at the top when drawn- the curtains feel to be lined and seem to be constructed from 4 smaller pairs- which are now joined up.
