1992 Mercedes-Benz 600 SEL Transmission: automatic Mileage: 25800The Mercedes-Benz S-Class represented a classification officially introduced in 1972 with the W116. The S-Class has served as the flagship model for Mercedes for over fifty years in its various incarnations debuting many of the company's latest innovations including drive-train technologies, interior features, and safety systems such as the first seatbelt pre-tensioners. The term stems from the German abbreviation 'S-Klasse', for 'Sonderklasse' , meaning 'special class' and in automotive terms refers to 'a specially outfitted car'. In 1991, the W140 series replaced the W126 in the Mercedes-Benz line-up and saw the S-Class grow in its proportions; more technology and features were added due to product evolution and through competition. Innovations were introduced such as double-pane window glazing, self-closing boot lid/doors, electric windows with a jam-protection feature and a heating system which emitted warm air while residual energy was available after the engine was turned off. This absolutely superb example is presented in Metallic Nautical Blue with cream leather interior. This Mercedes-Benz was delivered new to the Embassy of Qatar for the personal use of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Hamad Al-Thani. Apart from the usual luxury items that the factory bestowed upon such vehicles, this particular car was lavished with electrically operated privacy curtains in the rear of the car, electrically operated picnic tables for the rear passengers and electric rear seats offering more comfort for His Highness. The car comes with two sets of keys, its Mercedes-Benz data card, full book pack, original sales invoice to the Embassy and a letter of provenance showing the name of the first owner. This is one of the finest examples of this top of the range Mercedes-Benz of its era on the market today and having covered a mere 25,800 km from new, it represents fantastic value for money considering its original sale price.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. Accordingly, buyers are on notice that each vehicle is offered ‘as is/as seen’ subject to the Terms and Conditions for the auction. Buyers are advised to inspect the vehicle in person or use a professional to carry out this service. Historics will not entertain disputes over descriptions.

1995 Mercedes-Benz S600 L Transmission: automatic Mileage: 13500The Mercedes-Benz S-Class represented a classification officially introduced in 1972 with the W116. The S-Class has served as the flagship model for Mercedes for over fifty years in its various incarnations debuting many of the company's latest innovations including drive-train technologies, interior features and safety systems such as the first seatbelt pre-tensioners. Innovations were introduced such as double-pane window glazing, self-closing boot lid/doors, electric windows with a jam-protection feature and a heating system which emitted warm air while residual energy was available after the engine was turned off. This fabulous example was ordered new by the late Emir of Qatar, His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Hamad Al-Thani and subsequently sent to the well known armoured car specialists in Belgium, Carat Duchatelet, to be equipped to B6/B7 armour standard. This is the highest domestic armoury which can be bestowed upon a vehicle without it being military, used mainly by Heads of State and similar VIP status individuals worldwide. This Mercedes-Benz is presented in dark metallic blue with cream leather and Alcantara interior, both of which are in exemplary condition. The interior was equipped to the Emir’s specific requirement with added features such as telephones fitted to front and rear, centrally mounted television in the rear, picnic tables situated on the back of the driver’s and passenger’s seats in walnut, two seats in the rear and curtains to the rear and side windows. This magnificent and highly specified example of this luxury marque is superb in every respect; particularly noteworthy is its minimal mileage covered of only a mere 13,500 km from new.*Historics and the present owner offer this vehicle for sale accepting no responsibility for any injury sustained as a result of the failure of any of the special equipment and armoury that has been fitted. Carat Duchatelet welcome any return of vehicles to their factory for re-inspection and have service teams available to travel worldwide.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale.
