1992 Mercedes-Benz 600 SEL Transmission: automatic Mileage: 25800The Mercedes-Benz S-Class represented a classification officially introduced in 1972 with the W116. The S-Class has served as the flagship model for Mercedes for over fifty years in its various incarnations debuting many of the company's latest innovations including drive-train technologies, interior features, and safety systems such as the first seatbelt pre-tensioners. The term stems from the German abbreviation 'S-Klasse', for 'Sonderklasse' , meaning 'special class' and in automotive terms refers to 'a specially outfitted car'. In 1991, the W140 series replaced the W126 in the Mercedes-Benz line-up and saw the S-Class grow in its proportions; more technology and features were added due to product evolution and through competition. Innovations were introduced such as double-pane window glazing, self-closing boot lid/doors, electric windows with a jam-protection feature and a heating system which emitted warm air while residual energy was available after the engine was turned off. This absolutely superb example is presented in Metallic Nautical Blue with cream leather interior. This Mercedes-Benz was delivered new to the Embassy of Qatar for the personal use of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Hamad Al-Thani. The car comes with two sets of keys, its Mercedes-Benz data card, full book pack, original sales invoice to the Embassy and a letter of provenance showing the name of the first owner. This is one of the finest examples of this top of the range Mercedes-Benz of its era on the market today and having covered a mere 25,800 km from new, it represents fantastic value for money considering its original sale price.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale.
