CLARICE CLIFF; a group of crocus decorated wares comprising a 21.5cm bowl, preserve pot and cover, two cereal bowls, an 11.5cm diameter bowl, two cups, two saucers, three side plates of varying size, a cylindrical preserve pot (no cover), and a small pin dish.Additional InformationThe large bowl is Newport Pottery, surface scratches to the interior and exterior, some staining around the rim but rings true, also has a very faint star hairline crack through the glaze of the foot rim. The circular preserve pot and cover has discolouration and staining to the inside which has also come in to the outside, with stained hairline cracks. The cover has general surface wear. The two cereal bowls have surface scratches to the interior and exterior and these are Royal Staffordshire Crocus pattern, some flecks of paint lost. The bowl is Royal Staffordshire Wilkinson's and has surface scratches to the interior, heavily crazed, some light staining and has also been restored to a large section. The two cups have light surface wear to both, both ring true. The two saucers have quite heavy surface scratches and some fritting to the rim, also some crazing to the backs of them, one with a very fine hairline to the reverse glaze but rings true. The preserve pot without the cover has a tiny chip to the foot rim, and also a crack running around the upper rim to the raised moulded section, light surface wear. The three side plates have scratch marks and crazing, and the small pin dish has light surface wear.

WW2 Royal Air Force 1939 Dated B-Type Flying Helmet, brown leather flying helmet being the pattern worn by RAF fighter pilots during the Battle of Britain. Ear cups show wear and some damage. Leather strap to the back section and leather chinstrap. Interior with chamois lining and original label to the crown which is dated 1939 and “B Sterling & Co Ltd”. Inked to the inside “SGT JORDAN”. Most of the helmets worn by the Battle of Britain pilots were examples manufactured in the pre-war and 1939 era.
Pre-WW2 D Lewis Pattern Flying Helmet, white cotton flight helmet which is fitted with the original gosport tubes receiver but no tubes. Interior lining with remains of a Gieves tailors label. Chinstrap and buckle fitting. Some staining and wear, damage to the ear cups. Often used by RAF pilots when training, especially early Battle of Britain pilots.
