† A FINE AND RARE CHINESE DOUCAI SMALL LINGZHI BOWL SIX CHARACTER YONGZHENG MARK AND OF THE PERIOD 1723-35 The gently flaring body delicately decorated with four pairs of ruyi-heads, separated by florets extending to leafy tendrils, all contained within concentric bands, the interior glazed white, 10.4cm. Provenance: purchased in Hong Kong in the 1950s or ‘60s, by repute. Cf. A PAIR OF CHINESE FAMILLE ROSE WINE CUPS GUANGXU 1875-1908 Each painted with a ferocious scaly five-clawed dragon amongst clouds and with flaming pearls of wisdom, a smaller dragon defeated in the waves beneath, with a six character Qianlong mark to the base, and a blue and white 18th century ovoid jar, painted with a continuous scroll design, 12.5cm. (3)
19th Century mahogany three tier dumb waiter having solid galleries, baluster turned gun barrel supports on baluster tapering legs with brass cups and castors. C. 1890 41" x 18" x 42.5" (104 x 46 x 107 cm) CONDITION REPORT: Good clean condition for age, some scratches and wear, particularly to upper surface, minor stains but structurally appearing good with no obvious restoration.
REGENCY ROSEWOOD CIRCULAR PILLAR DINING TABLE The top with bead moulded frieze, on a panelled tapering pedestal, on quatrafoil base with outswept acanthus moulded sabre legs having brass cups and castors. C. 1825. 54" x 28.5" (137 x 73 cm). CONDITION REPORT: Some minor splitting and lifting to veneers particularly to the centre, scratches and odd stains, edge veneer missing in places, bead moulding missing in places base appearing good.
