United Kingdom, London, 1986 / 1987, hallmarks: lion, panther head, unknown maker's mark (M&LS), year letters M and N - signs of use and dents. 408 grams, 925/1000. Dim. H 10.5 cm, diam 8.2 cm.
Mappin & Webb cased tea for two set, including a silver three piece tea set, Sheffield 1888, semi-gadrooned, the teapot with ebonised handle and finial, 13cm, associated silver teaspoons and silver plated tongs, Two French china cups and saucers decorated with birds, the case with hinged lid and doors, height 29cm.Condition report:There is a tiny chip to the base of one saucer. The inside of the teapot is dirty. There is fading chipping, staining and cracks to the case. The rim of the sugar bowl is slightly bent. There are no engraved initials or inscriptions to any items. The blue and white cup has crazing, staining chips and a hairline crack. The royal commemorative Beale has crazing. The three cups and saucers are stained with hairline cracks to a couple of items.
