I could not see any hairlines or crazing and the pieces all ring when tapped.I believe them all to be firsts, they all have the same marks.In total there are six cups, six saucers, six side plates, one cream jug and one serving plate, all good apart from that one small chip.

SHELLEY; a circa 1930s 'Queen Anne' shape 'Blue Iris' pattern twelve setting tea and dinner set comprising trios (one cup missing), dessert bowls and plates, dinner plates, side plates, shallow soup bowl, a pair of tureens with covers, a pair of smaller examples with ladles and saucers, a soup tureen with saucer, a jug, a cream jug, a sugar bowl, two sandwich serving plates, a bowl and six graduated plates and platters, registered number 742953.Additional InformationAll pieces with traces of wear commensurate with age such as surface scrathes, flaking and rubbing to the paint, majority of pieces in generally good condition only with some crazing to the glaze, some pieces with heavier crazing, a few soup bowls and a couple of dinner plates with minor chips to some of the edges, a few cups with heavier crazing to include one with hairline crack spreading from the base to handle and one with chip to the rim, a couple of small saucers and larger plates in similar condition to include one with extensive crazing, some with fritting, one with hairlines cracks and one with two major cracks to centre, ladles with extensive crazing to the glaze, the bowl some nibbles to underneath the rim.

A Hammersley & Co. part tea and cake service retailed by T. Goode & Co., South Audley Street, Grosvenor Square, London; six large and five smaller cups, a two-handled cake plate, a circular bowl, five different varying sized plates, six large and ten smaller saucers, together with a separate milk jug, cream jug and two different sized marmalade/preserve jars and covers, (a very good selection), each piece with hand-gilded edge and delicately decorated in enamels with red roses; some pieces signed 'D. Millington', printed, impressed and painted marks to underside of bases etc. CONDITION REPORT: The pink enamelling decoration of the roses appears very good and vibrant as does the gilding mostly although there is minor gilt rubbing in places on the edges of some of the plates. One of the side plates has a small chip visible to the underside when you turn it over. The two handled cake plate appears in good general overall condition. The larger plates appear in generally good overall original condition although at some stage the service has been used, there are two cream jugs the large of which has a very minor pin head sized piece of porcelain/gilding away at the pouring edge. The small or the jugs appears in good general overall original condition except for some gilt rubbing to the extremities. Circular marmalade jar and cover appear in reasonable order. There is also a smaller circular pot and cover which appears in good general overall condition. The saucers, dishes and side plates appear generally reasonably good overall. Although the condition of each piece cannot be “guaranteed”. The six larger cups appear in reasonable order with some gilt rubbing to the edges at the top, the handles and exterior of bowls all appear good but there is some rubbing and discolouration to the underside of the circular feet to be expected. The five smaller cups again appear to be in good general overall condition with only minor gilt rubbing to the gilded border at the top. Handle appear in good original condition with some further minor gilt rubbing etc. The set overall is in good general order with no major problems or restoration noted. This has come privately, locally from a lady of title, she no longer requires such a service.

A pair of late-19th century Dresden-style two-handled porcelain chocolate cups on conforming quatrefoil-shaped stands; each piece gilded and hand-decorated in enamels with scenes of figures in 18th century dress within country surroundings, each piece with painted AR blue mark to underside (2) CONDITION REPORT: The saucers are in good general overall condition with no major problems, hairlines, chips or restoration noted. The gilding and painting within the reserves appears to be generally in very good order for age with only minor gilt rubbing upon close inspection in some small spaces. The pair of two handled cups also appears to be in generally very good overall condition with no chips, cracks, hairlines or restoration noted. Both items in very good condition for age.
