1994 Piaggio APE, 49cc. Registration number unregistered ex Portugese 70 - DU - 54. Chassis number unknown. Engine number unknown. The Ape is a three-wheeled light commercial vehicle, manufactured and marketed by Piaggio as an adaption of the company's Vespa scooter. It has been in continuous production since its 1948 introduction and offered in numerous body configurations to serve a wide range of utilitarian functions. Initially marketed as the VespaCar or TriVespa, Piaggio subsequently marketed the utility vehicle as the Ape, derived from the Italian for bee; its scooter marketed as the Vespa, meaning wasp. Currently two model ranges are offered, the Ape 50 with a 49.8 cc petrol engine and the larger Ape TM which comes available with a 218cc petrol engine or a 422cc diesel engine. DU is a van version which was used by a Portugese Mayor. It will require recommissioning before use. Sold with a Portuguese title document.This is UK registered, has a NOVA and will need a new MOT to get on the road. The battery has been charged up and it has been driven around the vendors property with no reported issues, electrics all working as they should

1965 Vespa VBB2T, 150cc. Registration number HVK 755C. Frame number VBB2T *265852*. Engine number VBB2M *240545*.The Piaggio industrial group were devastated by WWII and post war were not allowed to build aircraft, instead they helped mobilise the Italian public with a new transport concept, the scooter. During trials the buzzing noise of the engine and body shape combined for the scooter to be christened the ‘Vespa’ the Italian translation for wasp. From the launch in 1946 it was such a success that it has become a symbol of taste, fashion and style and is one of the favourite global design icons of all time. The 150 cc VBB replaced the VBA in 1960.HVK was first registered with DVLA in 2018 by Allan Ball and has been subject to a complete restoration along with the addition of period style accessories such as luggage racks, petrol can and leather luggage. It has covered 444 miles since the restoration.Sold with the V5C, keys and workshop manual, it will need recommissioning due to lack of use.
