Large Victorian / Edwardian Photograph Album of Military and Family Interest, consisting of mostly fine studio portrait photographs of various members of a family, including a number in uniform etc. The first page has images of a member of the Royal Naval Air Service in flight gear. Many of the images are annotated below with who the person is etc. Housed in a large leather bound album with gilt tooled initials to the front, “G.R.O 1901”. 102 images in total.

Attributed To James Northcote (1746 - 1837) - late 18th century oil on canvas portrait of the actor David Garrick. Depicted in a head and shoulder pose, in full costume - the painting likely being of Garrick as a character from one of his many plays. Unsigned. Later framed. Catalogue reference ' Northcote - 217 David Garrick ' to verso, along with catalogue references and an owners name to stretcher (written in antiquity). A fine antique painting. Approx 66 x 54cm total size. David Garrick (19 February 1717 – 20 January 1779) was an English actor, playwright, theatre manager and producer who influenced nearly all aspects of theatrical practice throughout the 18th century, and was a pupil and friend of Dr Samuel Johnson. He appeared in a number of amateur theatricals, and with his appearance in the title role of Shakespeare's Richard III, audiences and managers began to take notice.
A rare and impressive large 19th Century Victorian Coalbrookdale manner cast iron hall stand. Arched back section with central mirror panel an with green man face mask above. Scrolled hooks to sides with straight hook to top. Demi lune drawer to mid section with acanthus leaf scroll detailing to either side over twin stick stand base. Scrolled and pierced decoration to lower tier having portrait of a Gentleman / Lord to centre with two removable enameled cast iron stick trays. Measures: 228cm x 115cm x 46cm. Condition: No marble top, rail to front and one hook missing.
