Provenance: Purchased from Phillips Auctioneers. CONDITION REPORT: Appears good with no obvious signs of damage, repair or restoration.

Provenance: Purchased from The Casson Gallery, London, 1975. CONDITION REPORT: Appears good with no obvious signs of damage, repair or restoration.
BERNARD LEACH (1887-1979) for Leach Pottery; a stoneware tile, painted and incised with a pot motif, painted early BL and St Ives marks to front and four impressed St Ives marks to rear, 10 x 10cm. Provenance: Purchased from Alex McErlain, 1994. CONDITION REPORT: Small chip to top edge otherwise appears good with no obvious signs of damage, repair or restoration. Top edge: 0.6cm wide chip and a tiny 0.3cm chip to the top middle edge. Thin glaze to bottom left edge, firing bubbles to edges and all over tiny ones as would be expected - all firing imperfections.
DAVID LEACH (1911-2005) for Lowerdown Pottery; a stoneware squared bottle, everted rim, tenmoku glaze, impressed DL mark, height 36cm. Provenance: Purchased from Gallery 359, Nottingham, 1974. CONDITION REPORT: Two tiny glaze blemishes and some grinding to the base, otherwise appears good with no obvious signs of damage, repair or restoration.

Muchelney studio pottery stoneware handled flagon by John Leach dating from the 20th century. The stoneware flagon is of flattened oval shape tapering to the top with a loop handle and with a raised filling hole and small pouring spout. The flagon has a brown salt glazed finish and has an impressed John Leach and Muchelney mark to the bottom edge. Along with two other smaller pieces of similar form. H33 cm

An important early Michael Cardew pottery jug with a rich, toffee brown glaze, incised 'The Best Wine is the Oldest/The Best Water is the Newest'. Impressed potter's and Leach marks, height 22.7cm. (See illustration) Condition Report: One 2mm chip to the rim, a few other less than 1mm chips to the glaze on the rim, otherwise in very good condition.
Five ceramic items, comprising; a tenmoku glazed stoneware cheese dish and cover, 23.5cm diameter, a stoneware jar by Leach potteries of Lowerdon, 18.5cm high, a plate with a gilt head of a woman, a square pottery panel of contemporary design and a stoneware sculpture by Maza Ora in the form of a series of conjoined inverted coil pots, (a.f.), (5).
* Bernard Leach, a porcelain compressed ovoid jar and cover, painted with three birds and with band to base, impressed BL Pottery mark, with bill of purchase dated 28.12.65 for one individual Bernard Leach pot £5.00. CONDITION REPORT: The lid of the pot is in good order. The base however has numerous scuffs and chips to the bottom edge of the foot rim. It looks as if this piece may well have stuck to the kiln during firing. The bottom edge is both scuffed and chipped as if the piece has been prised away from something. Hopefully our image will show you the extent of the damage.
