Four pieces of studio pottery, to include a mid-20th century footed bowl by Alex Sharp, marbled grey and white textured body, Sharp and Leach marks to underside, 5½ x 3¾in. (13.9 x 9.5cm.); together with a squat ovoid vase with applied Celtic cross to front, 4½in. (11.4cm.) high; and two others. (4) * Alexander Sharp was born in 1918, and grew up in Barrhead, near Glasgow. After studying with Bernard Leach at St. Ives, he ran Highland Home Industries Morar Pottery, near Mallaig, from around 1951 to 1956. He exhibited at Leach's famous 1952 Dartington conference on craft industries, where one of his pots won the Tenmoku Prize.

BERNARD LEACH (1887-1979) for Leach Pottery; a stoneware tile depicting a bird on a nest feeding its young, painted early LB mark, 10 x 10cm. (D) Provenance: The Trevor Corser Collection. LOWERDOWN POTTERY; a stoneware coffee set comprising coffee pot, milk jug, sugar bowl and two mugs, toasted unglazed bodies with rims picked out in tenmoku glaze, probably made by John Leach while working with his father David, impressed L+ marks, tallest height 13cm (5). CONDITION REPORT: Appears good with no obvious signs of faults, damage or restoration.
LOWERDOWN POTTERY; a stoneware jug with foxglove decoration on speckled grey ground and a matching bowl, impressed L+ marks, jug height 12.5cm, and a Leach Pottery casserole (3). CONDITION REPORT: Bowl has chip to rim and casserole nibbles to base, otherwise appears good with no further obvious signs of faults, damage or restoration.
LEACH POTTERY; a stoneware coffee pot covered in mottled dark green glaze and a water jug covered in mottled grey/brown glaze, impressed pottery marks, made c.1967, tallest height 19.5cm (2).
