Shoji Hamada (1894-1978), a cut sided, or slab sided, vase in treacle glaze, 23.5 cm high Bought at the Hamada/Leach exhibition at the craft centre in the Haymarket in 1966, no longer with original balsa wood box. Shoji Hamada only signed his early work at the Leach Pottery, rather he signed the boxes.
