Jan van der Groen was gardener to the Prince of Orange and his work includes scenes of the gardens at Ryswick, Honsholredyck and Huys 'ten Bosch prior to alteration in the style of Le Nôtre. Pieter Nylandt was a doctor and horticulturist.Provenance: ?C.W.G. van Nyht (ink signature on first title and engraved bookplate). Rothamsted acquisition date 1935.
A Handmade Gypsy Caravan, in contrasting shades of wood. approximately 16inches long and 16inches high, hinged roof reveals decorated and furnished interiors with bunk beds, chest of drawers, cupboard and cooking hob.,split barn style door to front. articulated front axle and towing harness needs minor repair.

CONDITION REPORT: One cup has a broken handle, one saucer has a chip to the rim, two tureens with 'oven to tableware' marks and both seconds, both with cooking grease residue, oval dish is also 'oven to table', four herb jars 'Spade Blue Room Collection' patterns, lot contains numerous seconds, surface wear and dirt. All others are brown printed later stamps - condition overall is good.
