A Practical Treatise on the Choice and Cookery of Fish, second edition, original blind-stamped cloth, rubbed, spine chipped, corners worn, 1854; and c.20 others on food & drink including imperfect copies of Markham's Country Contentments 1633 & English Housewife 1637, and a bound volume of 1855 parliamentary reports into food adulteration etc., v.s. (c.25)⁂ The first is possibly the earliest English work on the chemistry of cooking and one of the first exposures of the serious adulteration of food.
