MUDDY WATERS - THE BEST OF MUDDY WATERS LP (CHESS LP 1427 - EARLY US PRESSING). A lovely, early American pressing of Muddy Waters - The Best Of Muddy Waters (CHESS LP 1427). The record (no deep groove) is in glossy VG condition with a few extremely faint scuffs and hairlines. The centre labels are clean. The sleeve is in VG+ condition with wear to the edges and minor age-related creasing.

HOWLIN' WOLF - MOANIN' IN THE MOONLIGHT LP (CHESS LP 1434 - ORIGINAL US PRESSING). A slice of American history here with this original American pressing of Howlin' Wolf - Moanin' In The Moonlight (CHESS LP 1434, 1959 US OG). The record (deep groove, 'Sheldon' machine stamped) is in VG condition with small scuffs/ hairline marks across the playing surfaces - some of which are slightly feelable. Centre labels are clean. The sleeve is in VG condition with a seam-split to the top of the sleeve as well as age-related wear - extremely common on early copies like this one.

Covered in a fairly thick layer of dirt and discoloured varnish. Slight stretcher shadow and nominal buckling to canvas. Sporadic varying sized, essentially stable craquelure which is slightly more enhanced in places by opaque quality to varnish (see upper left hand area in particular). Not examined with a UV light.
