Two pairs of 19th century Ivory Chinese possible gaming / chess pieces, each piece being turned and carved with stunning detail, the taller pieces possibly Bishops raised on turned circular bases, fret pierced and chased decorated tiers under a turned circular body surmounted with further tiers and finial top. Measures 10.5cms highest.
A Victorian walnut and inlaid chess table, stretchered bobbin-turned supports, width 78cm. CONDITION REPORT Water marks to top. Chips and losses to the edges and strapwork, some of which looks to have been crudely replaced. Parts of the underside look to have been crudely added with nails etc. Supports and under tier have been re-varnished with subsequent losses. Chips and dents to the under tier also.
