A group of props from the production of Brian Levant's prequel film, The Flintstones in Viva Rock Vegas (Amblin Entertainment, 2000) including a "Backstage VIP Jungle Room" pass and a hammer with two writing chisels. The plaster pass is painted green and white to resemble stone and features red lettering on the front. It hangs from a length of twine. The hammer comprises a resin head and wooden handle and the chisels are made of metal, with all three items further painted to resemble wood and stone. This prequel to Levant's The Flintstones (Amblin Entertainment, 1994) follows how the two main couples get together, the narrative centering on the class differences between Wilma Slaghoople (Kristen Johnson) and the others: Fred Flintstone (Mark Addy), Barney Rubble (Stephen Baldwin), and Betty O'Shale (Jane Krakowski). Following a disastrous dinner at Slaghoople Manor, the wealthy Chip Rockefeller (Thomas Gibson) invites the four to his casino and resort in Rock Vegas. He plans to encourage Fred, rival for Wilma's affections, to gamble away all of his money, thereby rendering him less desirable to Wilma (or so he thinks). These items were created for the sequences at the casino and resort, with this style of hammer and chisel seen resting on desks and being used by Chip to sign contracts. This bizarrely cast box office bomb featured special appearances from William Hanna and Joseph Barbera and received 11 combined "Razzie" and "Stinker" nominations in categories such as Worst Supporting Actor, Worst On-Screen Hairstyle (both for Stephen Baldwin), Worst Song (for Ann-Margret's "Viva Rock Vegas"), and Most Unfunny Comic Relief (for Alan Cumming in his dual roles of The Great Gazoo and Mick Jagged). However, it only took home one: Worst Resurrection of a TV Show. 13 x 5 x 2.25 inches (largest)

There is perforation on one edge of each piece to resemble a torn valet ticket. One piece reads "T-1138 / Valet / Parking" and the other reads "T-1138 / Valet / Parking / Not responsible / For anything." The four glasses are molded from plastic with irregular bumps along the exterior, each slightly different from the others. The three arrive at Wilma's home, Slaghoople Manor, and encounter valet parking for the first time. Fred mistakes the valet (John Cho) for a thief before Wilma explains the situation to him. Shortly after, they all attend a garden party and dinner in honor of Wilma's father (Harvey Korman) where the guests drink from this style of water glass. 10 x 6 x 1 inches (ticket slabs together); 5 x 4.5 x 4.5 inches (each glass)

Tomatsu began his photographic career in the 1950s, documenting the aftermath of the atomic bombing in Nagasaki, his hometown, and the U.S. military presence in Japan. His series ""Nagasaki 11:02"" (1966) depicted the haunting effects of the atomic bomb on the city and its inhabitants, focusing on the physical and psychological scars left by the devastation. Throughout his career, Tomatsu explored various subjects and themes, including the Americanization of Japanese culture, the impact of modernization, and the tensions between tradition and progress. His photographs often conveyed a sense of ambiguity, capturing moments of social change and capturing the complexities of the human condition. Tomatsu was a founding member of the influential Japanese photography agency VIVO, established in 1959, which played a crucial role in promoting documentary photography as an artistic medium in Japan. He was also an active member of the Provoke movement, a short-lived but highly influential avant-garde photography movement in the late 1960s and early 1970s. His body of work expanded beyond Japan, and he documented various locations worldwide, including Okinawa, the Philippines, and the United States. Tomatsu's photographs combined a keen eye for composition with a deep understanding of the historical and social context in which he worked, resulting in images that captured the complexities of the changing world around him. Shomei Tomatsu's photography has been exhibited extensively both in Japan and internationally. WW2 and Great War ACM Ivelaw Chapman signed Handley Page Hinaidi cover flown by VC10. Air Chief Marshal Sir Ronald Ivelaw-Chapman, GCB, KBE, DFC, AFC (17 January 1899 - 28 April 1978) was a senior commander in the Royal Air Force in the middle of the 20th century and the penultimate RAF commander-in-chief of the Indian Air Force. He joined the Royal Flying Corps in 1917 and served as a Bristol Fighter pilot on the western front with 10 Squadron in the last eleven months of the war. At the outbreak of the Second World War Ivelaw-Chapman, now a wing commander, was part of the operations staff of RAF Bomber Command headquarters.[2] In June 1940 he was promoted to group captain and was appointed station commander at RAF Linton-on-Ouse, a No. 4 Group bomber station near York. In 1941 he returned to a staff job at the Air Ministry involved in D-Day planning. In 1943 he was again appointed a station commander at RAF Elsham Wolds, a No. 1 Group bomber station. On the night of the 6/7 May 1944, Ivelaw-Chapman was flying as second pilot of a No. 576 Squadron Avro Lancaster on a mission to bomb an ammunition dump at Aubigne in France. His aircraft was shot down by a night fighter and Ivelaw-Chapman went on the run. Because of his experience and knowledge Churchill ordered the French resistance to do all they could to help him return to England, he was to be killed if he was in danger of being captured by the Germans. He was captured by the Gestapo on 8 June 1944, the most senior Bomber Command officer to have been captured by the Germans. Churchill's fear was unfounded as the Germans did not realise his importance and he was treated as an ordinary prisoner of war. Good condition. AUCHENTOSHAN THREE WOOD AND AMERICAN OAK LOWLAND SINGLE MALT Auchentoshan is part of a small minority of Scottish distilleries, in that every drop of whisky it produces is sold as a single malt. Similarly unusual is its use of triple distillation to produce a purer spirit that’s light and mildly fruity.Situated just outside Clydebank, the distillery was lucky to survive the 1941 blitz relatively unscathed. Only one of its warehouses was damaged by a bomb blast, and another near miss provided a blast crater that later became the distillery’s picturesque pond.Three Wood - 43% ABV / 70clAmerican Oak - 40% ABV / 70clQty: 2

WW2 submarine interest - archive of ephemera and photographs relating to submariner Petty Officer (later Lieutenant) Thomas William Gould V.C. of HMSub Thrasher; predominantly post-war with later copies of contemporary photographs and documents including Certificate of Service in slip-case, War Patrol Reports, First Day Covers, press cuttings, 'For Valour' film script, business cards etc.Auctioneer's Note: An extract from Gould's VC award citation reads "On February 16th, in daylight, HM Submarine Thrasher attacked and sank a heavily escorted supply ship. She was at once attacked by depth-charges and was bombed by aircraft. The presence of two unexploded bombs in the gun-casing was discovered when after dark the submarine surfaced and began to roll. Lieutenant Roberts and Petty Officer Gould volunteered to remove the bombs, which were of a type unknown to them. The danger in dealing with the second bomb was very great. To reach it they had to go through the casing, which was so low that they had to lie at full length to move in it. Through this narrow space, in complete darkness, they pushed and dragged the bomb for a distance of some 20 feet until it could be lowered over the side. Every time the bomb was moved there was a loud twanging noise as of a broken spring which added nothing to their peace of mind. This deed was more gallant as HM Submarine Thrasher's presence was known to the enemy; she was close to the enemy coast and in waters where his patrols were known to be active day and night. There was a very great chance, and they knew it, that the submarine might have to crash-dive while they were under the casing. Had this happened they must have been drowned."Condition Report:Most items in good condition as post-war material or copies of earlier items.
