GRABLE BETTY: (1916-1973) American Actress. Vintage signed 8 x 10 photograph of Grable in a half length pose. The 1954 Columbia Pictures publicity portrait is signed by Grable with her name alone in bold blue fountain pen ink with slightly weaker contrast across her striped blouse although still legible. ¥ Robert O Lenkiewicz [1941-2002] gemma in White Blouse signed twice and inscribed on the reverse also marked with a red triangle oil on board 25 x 19cm. Edward Wesson [1910-1983]. A painter in oils but especially watercolours handling a variety of subjects with an assured wash technique. Born in Blackheath, south-east London, his early subjects were inspired by the tidal waters, topography and sail boats on the Thames. During WWII he spent time in Italy and Sicily painting all the while. Elected a member of the Royal Society of Painters in Watercolours in 1952, he exhibited widely including the R.A. and the R.B.A, and The Alexander Gallery in Bristol held a major retrospective in 1999.

The Honourable M. C. Adderley, Air Force Cross and Bar - A Pair of Jackets Worn by The Honourable M.C. Adderley, including a air crew type battledress, the label to the interior marked ‘Suit Air Crews Blouse’ size 16 and dated 1943, the collar has been tailored open for wear with a tie, complete with original cloth insignia including the rank bars to the epaulettes, and padded wing and medal ribbon including AFC with rose, Defence Medal and 39/45 Medal, together with his four pocket RAF tunic in blue barathea, the interior bearing a tailor’s label, dated 1939 with various numbers and codes. This officer’s career was extensive and ran throughout the Second World War, he was instrumental in the development of un-manned aircraft, forming in late1937 a pilotless aircraft section at RAF Henlow, working in conjunction with anti aircraft units, he also saw service in Malaya and Korea, receiving the AFC and Bar and in Malaya the King’s Commendation and the American DFC, Bronze Star and Air Medal, leaving the RAF in 1960 he was awarded the Military OBE.View on dnfa.com

Pair of Bretby terracotta busts painted overall in dark pink, early 20th century, impressed marks to one base. 50cm high Condition report: The paintwork is a later addition and is flaking on both, the girl`s flowers in her hair and blouse are chipped, the square base she sits on has a large chip to one side both bases have traces of cement stuck to them.
