British 1949 Pattern Battledress Blouse. Dated 1950. Named to 14445561 Clp Metyard, Assault Pioneer Platoon, SP Company, 1st Battl. The Gloucestershire Regt. The blouse has Clp stripes to each sleeve, one Gloucestershire shoulder title and medal ribbon bar for WW2 and Korean War Service. Some moth damage overall.
DESCRIPTION: Art Nouveau Terracotta Bust features a women elegantly displayed with bronze painted blouse and flower. The piece, numbered 532, is made by french artist "A. Nanteuil" and displays the bust of a solemn looking young woman. Great attention to detail went into making this piece in regards to the flowing nature of the hair and ruffles on the blouse. Service Dress and Battledress Uniforms of Captain J.L.Mitchell, Royal Engineers. The Service Dress jacket and trousers were made by Bernard Wetherill in October 1944. It retains all its original insignia; a full set of Royal Engineers buttons, collar badges and Captains pips. The Battledress is Canadian made. The Blouse in April 1944 and the Trousers in 1943. The Blouse has its original insignia; Royal Engineers shoulder titles, Captains metal pips and, unusually, Officers bronze collar badges. A nice, original grouping, all worn during the war (4 parts).
Battledress Blouse - 1940 Pattern - with original insignia of a Royal Engineers Sergeant. A nice Size 12 wartime example made by L.Coleman and Co. in 1944. The blouse has a few small moth nips but they don’t detract from the overall look. The insignia is all original to the blouse and includes Royal Engineer shoulder titles, Arm-of-Service strips, Sergeants Chevrons and embroidered grenade badges above the chevrons.
WW2 1st Czechoslovak Independent Armoured Brigade Group Sergeant’s Battledress Blouse Uniform Tunic A rare and very good example of a 1940 pattern battledress blouse worn by a Sergeant of the 1st Czechoslovak Independent Armoured Brigade. To each sleeve embroidered Nationality title and formation badge. To the shoulder straps, crimson piping and set upon a crimson bar silver plated studs representing the rank of Sergeant (One stud absent). To the left breast two rows of medal ribbons including the Czechoslovakia Medal for Gallantry. The interior with issue label dated 1943. Some service wear. GC.
