One of the bead swags has partially detached and would need fixing. Other beads and pendants may be missing or replaced, but the present arrangement is balanced. A Continental gilt metal and cut and moulded glass eight light chandelier, probably Italian, last quarter 19th century, the outscrolled corona hung with clear and pale amethyst coloured pendants, above a circlet hung with further pendants and beads, descending to a tier of scrolled arms hung with beaded swags, approximately 130cm highCondition Report: Some rubbing and loss to gilding. A handful of shaped pendants are missing, others may be replaced, and some are slightly chipped to the edges. Overall the arrangement is balanced. The scrolls of the corona are a little bent, as are one or two of the arms. One of the joins connecting the arm to the body may have been strengthened. One of the bead swags has become detached on one side, but can presumably be reattached with some wire. Overall, in perfectly presentable condition.Condition Report Disclaimer
