A 19th century 18ct gold and amethyst fob seal - the oval amethyst with the word 'Amatemi' ('Love Me') inscribed in gothic style script, in a domed, fluted mount with coiled snake bale, 2.3cm high, the amethyst 1.5 x 1.1cm.* In good condition overall and no repairs visible to the mount. The only noticeable wear is to the pale yellow gold moulded band around the oval intaglio head. The amethyst is in good condition - crisp and clear, with just one minute chip to the edge of the table.

A Pearl and Amethyst Set Cross, 68mm x 55mm, a seed pearl necklace with ten gilt metal amethyst stones and a small seed pearl brooch Note: Cross unmarked but tests as 14ct gold The cross presents in good overall condition showing signs of wear commensurate with age and moderate usage. There appears to be no obvious sign of damage to any of the stones, each stone is securely set and the claws are all present. There is a slight bend to the frame, this is through natural wear and should be expected. The seed pearls are all present and securely set and the bale is also securely set. There is some very slight nibbling to the amethyst stone on the lower limb of the cross on the left hand side, it is noticeable with a glass. The brooch pin at the back is in good condition and functions correctly. The necklace itself is actually broken but all the amethyst cartouches appear to be in good condition and the clasp is present, all the amethysts are securely set but the necklace is in a broken condition. We do not weigh mixed lots such as these. The brooch again appears to be in fair condition but the clasp does function. Prospective buyers are strongly advised to study all images carefully prior to bidding as these form part of the condition report.

There are no obvious signs of any significant chippings to any of the stones, other than very light marks commensurate with usage.
