Two Edwardian novelty brass pigs - smoking related, probably French, the first fashioned standing at a trough, his back with a match striker, trough 2 1/8in. (5.4cm.) wide, the second as a standing pig smoking a pipe with dished back forming a cigar or pipe holder. (2) * Both with small dents and re-soldering, thin gauge.
A Chinese carved soapstone ink stand, probably late 19th / early 20th century, in buff, dark grey and russet mottled stone, modelled as a recumbent dog atop an assemblage of vases and urns, with birds and flowers, 8in. (20.25cm.) high, 11 ½in. (29.25cm.) long. * One of the birds on the central trough has been off and has a glued repair. There are some old natural cracks to the stone to the back. One old chip to the inside top edge of the upper lidded box and some small rubs & tiny frits to the edges.
