Vase. Probably worked for the court."The two lock plates for the individual barrels are discreetly executed. Both with inconspicuous engraving on the pointed ends in the area of the butt stock neck. The right lock plate bears the engraved maker's inscription "FILLON - LANGUMIER & AUTELLET" between the hammer base and battery spring. The left lock plate bears the address inscription: "RUE MICHEL LE - COMTE. A PARIS".The neck of the cock, the upper lip of the cock, the outer edge of the pan and the battery cover are discreetly engraved and partially decorated with sculpted patterns.Starting from the tang, each barrel features a rectangular gilt cartouche with the crowned royal coat of arms with the three Bourbon lilies (fleur de lys) of King Louis XVI of France.Standing foliage is arranged in gold above it. The inscription "FILLON LANGUMIER ET AUTELET A PARIS" is inlaid in gold between the barrels. There is also a front sight on the barrel rib at the muzzle, surrounded by discreetly gilded decoration. Two additional gilded lines have been applied to the muzzle. The barrel pair is finished with a deep blue high gloss finish, which particularly emphasizes and underlines the intact gilding. The bright tang has a trough as a rear sight and is finely chiselled with iron, which, in addition to sweeping lines, depicts a complete flower at the end. The trigger guard extends into the final butt stock neck and widens in the area of the two triggers. It is raised in the front section and ends at the height of the battery in an amphora or amphora-shaped flower vase typical of the Louis XVI style. The accompanying sculpted plant arrangement is, however, part of the shaft. The trigger guard itsel
