Four unframed watercolours to include Loch by W. Moore, a thatched cottage with figure walking down the path signed E.J. Hughes, A River Scene by R Allen, a wooden framed watercolour depicting a stable interior with figures and dogs, horse eating from a trough. No signature 24 1/2" x 18 3/4".

(1)Vinyl, light spindle wear to both sides, side 1 one or two light surface scratches one from label trough matrix stamp unlikely to affect play, side 2 scratch at 5 o'clock approx half way from centre, sleeve with previous owners back top left, wear to top edge, spine good.
A Pilkington Royal Lancastrian vase with moulded and floral painted decoration. Impressed mark and numerals 2795 to base, height 18cm, together with a Ruskin Chinese style stand, impressed marks to base, a Secessionist pottery flower trough, and other Victorian and later decorative ceramics in one box.The Ruskin stand has a tiny chip to one of the feet, otherwise no condition issues. The size of recess is 10.6cm. The vase that sits on the ruskin stand has several condition issues, multiple chips varying in size, general wear and surface scratching. The schiller & Son large triple handled vase has several chips, cracks and repairs. The tile has some firing faults, otherwise in good condition. The Lancastiran vase has lost almost all of its decoration, but has no cracks or chips. All other peices have general wear and some with damage, Images of all defects spoken of, plus damage and wear on the other peices included in this lot have now been uploaded to our website.

Winter Scene, 1848, oil on canvas, depicting a young boy standing by a water trough, holding his fingertips in his mouth, some overall craquelure, 38.5 x 31 cm (15 1/8 x 12 1/4 ins), 'painted by J.R. Simmons, Mary Ann (British, 1959-present); b. Vancouver, emigrated to United Kingdom 1988 ENGLAND, The Fourth Service 1939-1945, 2002, a cast bronze medal by Mary Ann Simmons [Crucible Foundry] for the British Art Medal Society, concentric radiating waves, rev. map of the Western Atlantic approaches and the Rockall Trough, site of the first vessel to be sunk by a U-boat on the first day of World War II, edge highlight-impressed the fourth service 1939-1945 between the points of the compass, highlight notches on upper reverse edge, 90mm, 545.65g (The Medal 41, pp.118-19). Extremely fine, as made, a poignant medal, very rare; in black pouch of issue £100-£150 --- Provenance: bt BAMS, April 2003 Edition of 10. The medal commemorates the role of the Merchant Navy as the ‘fourth service’ during World War II. The reverse alludes to the sinking of the passenger liner Athenia, outbound from Liverpool to Montreal, torpedoed by U-30 220 miles north-west of Ireland at 7.30pm on 3 September 1939, the day that Britain declared war with Germany, with the loss of 117 lives. A STONE TROUGH 16th century or later, of rounded rectangular form, 70cm x 60cm; a reconstituted stone circular urn, 60cm diameter; and a collection of four quern stones, the largest 43cm diameter (6)The trough, the urn and two quern stones are located against the wall on the left as you come through the gatehouse with the church beyond. The two other quern stones are to the left of the white door in the stable cottage facing you as you come through the gate house.
