STEIFF BLOND MOHAIR DICKY BEAR WITH BUTTON AND PLAIN FELT PAW PADS. An utterly charming example of Steiff`s relatively rare Dicky bear, which was produced as an inexpensive alternative to the company`s higher priced products in the early 1930s. This circa 1930s Dicky is 5-ways jointed with tan felt paw pads. This model was also produced with velvet paw pads which were authentically stenciled to look like a real bear`s paw. His distinctive and serious looking face is detailed with black and brown glass pupil eyes and a black hand-embroidered nose and mouth located on a prominent inset muzzle. His face is further highlighted with a touch of airbrushing around his eyes and mouth. Dicky retains his original long trailing ""F"" button and remains of his red ear tag as his Steiff IDs. When the key is inserted into the opening under his right arm and wound up, the head moves to the left and right. Teddy retains his silver Bing button under his left arm. 1930s ERA STEIFF LYING RABBIT WITH BUTTON. Rabbit is head jointed and in a lying position. He is made from white and golden light brown mohair which has been highlighted with a touch of brown airbrushing. His white mohair lined ears are highlighted with pink airbrushing. His bow and bell are original. Rabbit`s face is detailed with black and brown pupil eyes and a pink hand-embroidered nose that is outlined in red, and a red mouth. This sweet rabbit makes every day feel like Easter! He was made in seven sizes ranging from 6 to 17cm in the 1930 through 1943 period overall. 1930s ERA STEIFF WOOLEN MINIATURE RABBIT WITH BUTTON. Rabbit is made from white Nomotta wool and has a swivel head. He has a pom-pom tail and two pom-pom front arms. His white felt ears have a touch of pink airbrushing on their insides. Rabbit`s tiny and simple face is detailed with pink and red glass pupil eyes, a pink airbrushed nose and mouth, and clear monofilament whiskers. Steiff introduced woolen miniatures in the early 1930s in part to have a lower priced, collectible, entry level product offering, as well as to make items that would be good to display with other items and in vignettes. This pattern was produced in 4 and 6cm in a series of lifelike color combinations from 1931 through 1943. Rabbit retains his button and his ear tag, which has snapped in half, as his Steiff IDs. He wears orange shoes, red shorts, and yellow gloves. The soles of his shoes are made from linen; the left one has a stamp acknowledging the Mickey Mouse, Steiff, and Walt Disney patent agreement. His shorts are detailed with four mother of pearl buttons. Mickey`s face is brought to life with a black velvet nose, black thread whiskers, glued eyes, and a hand drawn mouth. Mickey`s ears are made from black felt. Mickey retains his large trailing ""F"" Steiff button and red ear tag as his IDs. SIZE: Overall 14-1/2"" t (36cm).
