Merrythought: A Merrythought Dog hand puppet, together with a Sooty hand puppet; and a Bear hand puppet, believed to be Steiff. Please assess photographs. (3) Provenance: This was owned by the famous female Entertainer Alma Cogan. Alma released several albums and appeared in several films during late fifties, early sixties. She was a panelist on Juke Box Jury, and she had her own show on BBC before hosting ATV’s Saturday Spectacular from 1957 to 1961. Alma was the highest paid female entertainer of her time. She sadly died in 1966, age just 34. This and her other toys are now looking for new homes.
