A Royal Crown Derby tea service 20th century, in the Imari pattern, 6041, comprising two plates, 20cm wide, eleven side plates, 18cm wide, eleven saucers, 14cm wide, a bowl, 14cm diameter, eleven teacups, 6cm high, and a cream boat, 9cm high (qty.)Condition ReportTwo cups cracked. Crack to spout of cream jug and evidence of old repair. Rubbing thoughout.
To include a white glazed pottery cockerel; a porcelain cockatoo; a porcelain bird of prey; four ceramic pots modelled as swans; a Royal Crown Derby Red Aves octagonal punch bowl; an 18th century plate with a shaped rim, the centre decorated with pheasants fighting; a part Ainsley dinner service; and a Porcelaine Royale serves blue planter with hand-painted floral decoration in the central ground.The cockerel with some rubbing and scuffing to the base. The cockatoo with losses to the extremities such as its comb. The bird of prey in generally good condition. The swans with losses, one with a missing beak, one with a large loss to its wing, and another with a crack to the base. The punch bowl with significant dirt otherwise in generally good condition. The plate with a crack in the central ground. The planter in generally good condition.
The collection to include various 18th and 19th century Royal Crown Derby tea cups and coffee cans; a Bloor Derby coffee can; a Crown Derby cup and saucer; a Helena Wolfsohn coffee can; a Ridgeway style gilt decorated tea cup; an early Worcester style porcelain tankard; a Crown Derby porcelain tankard with floral decoration and gilt highlighting; a Nanking tea bowl; and a small blue and white Chinese dish; two Royal Copenhagen onion pattern cups, four saucers and four tea plates.The blue-banded tea bowl with minor chips to the gilt rim. The fluted, pink-banded tea bowl with rubbing to the gilt. The yellow-banded tea bowl with craquelure throughout. The larger cup and saucer with cracks on the handle and rubbing to the gilt. The smaller fluted-bodied cup with very light craquelure. the Worcester style tankard with significant repair to the body. The Derby tankard with craquelure throughout and a crack running from the lip about cm down near the handle. A crack to the small blue and white dish and chips out of the rim. Mild chipping to the rim of the Nanking bowl.
To include two Royal Crown Derby lozenge-shaped dishes, the first with a gilt Adams style decoration, the second with a handpainted picture of Scaleby Castle near Carlisle; a shaped Royal Crown Derby dish with a handpainted autumnal spray and a basket moulded rim; a Royal Crown Derby handpainted dish with a central cartouche of a river scene near Twyford; three further plates; a transfer printed plate; a Royal Crown Derby basket; a porcelain inkstand decorated in the Rococo style with a green ground and gilt highlighting; a porcelain mantel clock; and two hard-paste bird figure with red anchor marks painted on the bottom; etc.The first lozenge-shaped plate with rubbing to the gilt and scratching to the ground. The second lozenge-shaped dish with craquelure in the centre and rubbing to the gilt. The basket with significant repair notably to the handle and to the legs. Significant repair to the inkstand including all three pots and wells on top. Evidence of repair to the birds. The Derby Plate with yellow, red and blue flower boarder has been repaired and resprayed. Held to the light, crack running around the bowl and to the rim is visible. Sprayed over a biscuit chip to the rim. Some of the resprayed glaze has been scratched away
The lot comprising of a Royal Crown Derby Imari pattern punch bowl; a Delft bowl; a blue and white Chinese style bowl; and a Derby Imari style sauce boat.The punch bowl with a reair running across the centre of the bowl, splitting into two pieces and re-glued. The Delft bowl with significant repairs throughout, and with chips around the rim and the foot. The Chinese bowl with repair to one edge splitting the bowl into three separate pieces, surface dirt and chipping throughout with notable chips on the foot. The sauce boat with handles missing.
