REUBEN ERNEST HAGUE (D 1969) STUDY OF ROSES signed and dated 1920, watercolour, oval, 17.5 x 26cm and a 19th century English School watercolour of coastal scene (2) Reuben Hague was apprenticed as a painter at the Royal Crown Derby Factory in 1893, aged 13. He later worked as a freelance china painter at Stoke on Trent before working again for Royal Crown Derby. His paintings of old masters such as Lady Hamilton by Sir Reynolds were some of the Derby factory's most costly productions of the post war period. ++Both in fine condition
