For further information, please visit https://www.dacs.org.uk or https://artistscollectingsociety.orgThere is a fine cut to the bottom edge of the paper, which runs in to the bottom of the image, up to the lowest rectangle/flagstone, which gets less obvious as it progresses. This can be seen in the main photograph as a faint line outside of the drawn border, near the centre of the lower edge of the paper. On closer inspection, light foxing is visible under UV light, although not visible to the naked eye. The page is yellowed, with stronger yellowing towards the edges of the paper.

Albert Christ-Janer (American, 1910-1973). Mixed media on gesso board painting depicting a textured abstract form in warm tones on a pale white background. Tendrils of whispy smoke-like forms drift horizontally across the canvas. Signed along the lower left.Albert Christ-Janer was a highly accomplished artist and educator, having held positions at various prestigious institutions such as Stephens College, Cranbrook Academy of Art, Pennsylvania State University, and Pratt Institute. Throughout his career, he made significant contributions to art education and his works are housed in esteemed institutions including the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Whitney Museum of American Art.Height: 16 in x width: 20 in x depth: 1/4 in.Condition: There are no signs of restoration under UV light. Mixed media sculpture consisting of metal, foam core, plaster, plywood and additional media titled "Katherine Marcel and the Bride" depicting a slew of humorous caricatures including Katherine Dreier, Hilla Rebay, Frank Lloyd Wright, and Marcel Duchamp within a house, 1994-1998. The basement is portrayed as filled with works of art by Alexander Calder, David Nestorovitch Kakabadze, Wilhelm Lehmbruck, Walter Shirlaw, Anne Goldthwaite, and Marcel Duchamp. Signed along the lower right; numbered 1/48 along a plaque affixed to the verso.Red Grooms is known for his "sculpto-pictorama" sculptures such as the one featured here.
