Grace Marion HOCKEN (1923-1987) Garden, St Ives Mixed media, signed and dated '54, 31 x 60.5cm.Generally, this work appears to be in good overall condition. There are a few minor issues to note, when examined closely there are a couple of minor creases to the paper, however, they have minimal effect on the painting and the white of the paper cannot be seen (please see image). There is also a little mould/blooming evident, however, we have not examined this work out of its frame and it is difficult to distinguish whether or not the mould is on the work or the inside of the glass. Purchased from the artist's estate. The work would benefit from a new frame.
