Robert Littleford FRSA BWS (British, b.1940) - 'Zebra crossing' Mixed media, signed and dated (19)82, approx 25x35cm, framed. NB: Robert Littleford was born in Oldham, his first exhibition was held at the Salford Art Gallery and is the member of the British Watercolour Society and has exhibited at the Royal Society of Artists.
Tadeusz Was (Polish, 1912-2005) - 'Abstract figures' Mixed media over soot cut, signed, inscribed, approx 40x33cm, framed. (illustrated) NB: Story has it that the process of soot cut was discovered by Tadeusz whilst stationed in the desert during World War II, he apparently held orange peel over a burning oil lamp and the resulting soot produced formed a perfect impression when in contact with paper. CONDITION REPORT: Lot 608: Image in good condition, colours bright. Borders scruffy, please see further images.
David Wilde (British, 1918-1978) - 'War of Worlds' Mixed media, signed and titled, approx 52x75cm, framed. (illustrated) NB: David Wilde was formally known as Norman Shacklock and is often referred to as 'Manchester's hidden artist' due to his noteriety amongst celebrities and aristocracy and the ambiguity surrounding his sudden death.
