A distressed lacquered/painted Writing Table of continental flavour, the terracotta coloured painted surfaces having reserves painted with garden scenes with figures in elegant dress, the sides similarly depicting similar scenes whilst the rear and five drawer fronts are painted with stylised flowers, raised on cabriole legs and with a pull-out slide painted with roses against an olive green background, 32'' wide x 17 3/8'' deep x 28 5/8'' high approx.

A silver coin bracelet, formed of six 16th century Elizabeth I / Charles II silver coins, together with an Art Nouveau 830 silver bracelet, formed of six panels, two depicting Adam and Eve in the garden of Eden, the others with plants, flowers and hearts, and an EPNS belt, with thirteen pierced cast panels. THREE CHINESE PORCELAIN ITEMS, 18/19TH CENTURY. To include an 18th century famille rose punch bowl decorated with chickens and floral blooms in cartouches; A circular box and cover decorated with man painting with children in garden scene, Shende Tang mark to base; Together with a blue and white jar decorated with dragon amongst clouds with added gilt and red detailing. Bowl 22.5cm diam. (3)Bowl damaged and repaired in two sections with hairline to edge. The base of the circular box has piece repaired, the cover in good condition. The jar is in good overall condition with no signs of damage or repair.

A CHINESE WUCAI PORCELAIN BOWL, XUANDE MARK. Rounded body on straight foot decorated in underglaze blue and wucai enamels of various birds and flowers. The interior with garden scene. Six-character mark of Xuande to base but later. 19.2 cm diam.Minor fritting and glaze loss to rim otherwise in good overall condition with no signs of damage or repair.

A CHINESE BLUE AND WHITE PORCELAIN PHOENIX DISH, MING DYNASTY. Coated in a thick glaze with underglaze blue decoration of a phoenix standing in a garden, the rim decorated with various beribboned precious objects and floral motifs. Second half of the 16th century, c.1560 - 1580. 18.5cm diam.Very good overall condition with minor surface wear and a small ancient chip to the inner foot ring. There is no restoration or repair and the dish has a good ring to it when tapped.

A GROUP OF EARLY 20TH CENTURY PHOTOGRAPHS TAKEN BY DR G.W. MILLEDGE OF THE SUMMER PALACE AND OTHER VIEWS OF IMPERIAL PALACES AND GARDENS IN BEIJING. Including: a large framed coloured photograph of the Jade Belt Bridge at the Summer Palace, taken 1929, another unframed black and white image similar, a photo of an octagonal walled garden entrance, in fretwork wooden frame 23.2cm x 19.7cm, another framed with a terraced view, two small framed rectangular photographs with the Imperial Palace and the Altar of Heaven and an unframed photograph of river boats. (7) Provenance: Provenance: Property of Dr.G.W.Milledge acquired during his time in China c.1930s, thence by descent.Slight losses to the pierced wooden fretwork frame. Some wear and minor foxing to photographs, slight fading.

A GROUP OF CHINESE FAMILLE ROSE PORCELAIN ITEMS, 19TH CENTURY. Comprising a table stand for ink and pens, decorated with various figures in garden scene; a cylindrical brush pot decorated with lady standing next to a table, a square form seal pot and cover; a brush rest with scroll ends; together with two further pots and covers similarly decorated. Tongzhi period (1861-75). Ink stand 16.5cm tall. (6) Shallow chip to rear right side edge. Otherwise all in good overall general condition with no signs of repairs. No major damages. General wear to surface from use and age.
